平行結(jié)構(gòu)

1.含義:

兩個或兩個以上句法、功能相同的詞,詞組或句子，通過并列連詞、并列詞組連接起來而構(gòu)句子的某一成分的結(jié)構(gòu)叫做平行結(jié)構(gòu)。

2.類型:

(1)比較平行

1)AthanB

2) (not) as Aas B

3) (not) soAas B

4) (not) such muchasA as B

3.用法

(1)比較對象前后的形式和功能完全一致。

例如1

It is far easier to ride a bicycle than to explain in words exactly how a bicycle is ridden.

解析: than之前是to ride,根據(jù)前后一致的原則， than后面應(yīng)該也是to do的形式，所以用to

explain。

(2)對于前面出現(xiàn)的不可數(shù)名詞或單數(shù)名詞，that代替;可數(shù)名詞用those代替。

例如1

The title of this book is more interesting than that of that book.

解析:比較的是這本書與那本書的title,是單數(shù)名詞，所以用that代替。

例如2

The contents of this book are more interesting than those of that book.

解析:比較的這本書與那本書的contents,是復數(shù)名詞，所以用those代替。
